What are the commercial arrangements for Executive Coaching?

A typical Executive Coaching assignment includes over six months:

One ‘Fit’ meeting

  • Executive and Coach confirm fit and discuss personal objectives and perspectives

Five Priorities, Objectives, and Context meetings

  • Client briefs Coach on organisational priorities and objectives for the coaching assignment
  • Three peers and/or subordinates provide inter-personal context
  • Executive and Coach develop and agree a Personal Development Plan

Six Executive Development meetings

  • Six meetings for Executive and Coach to implement the agreed Personal Development Plan

Two sustaining development meetings

  • Summative discussion between Executive and Coach to review achievements, to determine future targets, and to agree self-monitoring of continued progress
  • Closing meeting with the Client to review impact of the assignment and implications for the organisations’ priorities and objectives

For a typical six-month assignment:

  • 50% payable on signing the Coaching Agreement
  • 50% payable before the closing meeting
  • Expenses for travel and accommodation at cost
  • Time charged at 50% pro-rata for travel exceeding one hour per meeting
  • Meetings cancelled/postponed with less than one weeks’ notice will be charged in full plus travel costs incurred if any

The terms and conditions within the Coaching Agreement cover issues such as confidentiality, non-assignability, intellectual property, early termination, and force majeure.
